Fill out the transportation documents easily through the following 4 simple steps.

1、Check the customs requirements of the destination country

As each country has its own customs and quarantine regulations, it is necessary to read the destination specific customs recommendation pages of each country. We cannot provide entirely flawless advice on all tariffs and taxes, so you may still need to conduct some additional research on your own.For instance, in some places, such as the UK: you will be required to fill out an additional document to assess whether your items meet the conditions for duty-free entry. For other countries: You need to have the customs form stamped when passing through the airport.

In addition, many countries have unique laws prohibiting the import of certain specific items to protect the health of their citizens and the safety of the environment. Please read our page on prohibited items before packing to ensure that your items can pass through customs smoothly.

2. Ensure that your packing list is accurate and error-free

The packing list will accompany the items throughout the entire transportation process and is one of the key documents for customs clearance. The packing list should include the following contents:

1) List as precisely as possible each item included in your shipment.

2) The detailed address of the destination and the name and contact information of the consignee

The main functions and purposes of the packing list:

1) Inform the customs and quarantine agent of the contents of the transported items. Help customs and quarantine agents identify items that may need to be inspected, quickly review and approve your items for entry into the destination country.

2) Prevent unnecessary delays. The more detailed and accurate your packing list is, the less likely it is that customs officers will open the cartons to conduct physical searches on the contents of the items, preventing disruptions and delays in the transportation process.

3) Avoid illegal exports. The true purpose of sending overseas items must be truthfully stated, as customs officers will conduct random sampling inspections on the items. Any discrepancy between the actual content of the items and the packing list may result in fines.

4) Record and facilitate your reference to the contents of the consigned items at that time later.

To help you ensure the accuracy of your packing list, please refer to the following tips:

1) It is recommended to fill out the packing list while packing, rather than trying to recall the items after our driver has completed the pickup. This approach helps prevent omissions of any items.

2) Fill in truthfully, specifically and in detail. Avoid using general words or phrases, such as "a box of sundries", "personal items" or "things" and other such general terms.

3) Use consistent box codes. Whether you use your own box bags or the dedicated shipping boxes we provide, the box codes marked on the outside of the containers after loading must be consistent with those on your packing list.

3. Upload scanned copies of your passport photo and the signature page

Customs officers will request the identification documents of the owner of the consigned items. The owner needs to provide a copy of their passport. Depending on their own circumstances, they may also need a visa or any other necessary supporting documents.

Uploading files is also quite easy. Just follow these steps:

1) Scan a color copy of the headshot page in your passport.

2) Scan a color copy of the passport's signature page (even if the signature and the headshot photo are on the same page).

3) Upload these scanned images directly to your extremely secure Wilcan logistics online account.

4) Use our country-specific customs advice pages to check if you still need to provide scanned copies of any other identification documents.
