After customs clearance is completed, the relevant release operation on the bill of lading is finished and can be used as one of the certificates that the goods have been cleared and can be picked up.
4. Other special documents (if any) : For instance, if there are special items in personal belongings (such as a small amount of food requiring a hygiene certificate, etc.), the hygiene certificate and other documents submitted during customs clearance can also be retained as auxiliary documents for the compliance of goods customs clearance after the customs clearance is completed, proving that the special items meet the import requirements
Under different circumstances (such as the nature of the items, mode of transportation, etc.), the specific documents obtained may vary. For instance, there are different requirements for reporting documents in sea and air transportation. The actual situation should be based on the Australian customs process and the actual circumstances of personal item imports.
